Champagne Wirth & Michel

Our house

Since the foundation of the estate by Raoul BOUCHÉ, a professional cooperator, five generations have succeeded one another at the estate.
Three generations live together today: Alain WIRTH the grandfather, now retired; Nathalie MICHEL, his daughter who succeeded him after studies in Biology and Physiology, a busy family life with the birth of three children including Antonin MICHEL who after studies in Commerce, Marketing and management in Mexico, additional training in viti -oenology in Burgundy has returned to the estate.

The vineyard of just over 4 Ha is spread over a range of terroirs and distinct villages in the southern Côteaux of Epernay: Moussy, Vinay, Brugny-Vaudancourt, Saint-Martin d´Ablois.

Major components of our soils, clay and limestone allow meunier (75% of our vineyard), chardonnay (23%) and pinot noir (2%) to draw the resources necessary for their deep expression and elaboration of our Champagne wines.

Our vines, made up of 70% mass selections, are worked with respect for the plant, nature and its living, without chemical herbicides or insecticides. et de son vivant, sans herbicides ni insecticides chimiques.
Certified Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC), our philosophy is such that we practice a pragmatic and as artisanal culture as possible.
